Oct 23: National Archives, The American Story

Celebrations for the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence are kicking off early at the National Archives. On October 23, the Archives will open a new exhibit: The American Story. Visitors will be able to see the copperplate engraving made from the Declaration of Independence in 1823 and the original treaty for the Louisiana Purchase.

Our guides are excited to show you these new treasures along with the Declaration of Independence, US Constitution and the Bill of Rights in the Rotunda. To enjoy the best of what the National Archives has to offer, choose one of our amazing Archives tours, from the focused one hour to more in depth 2 hour tour options.
