Sure, you can take the train across any number of rivers whenever you want, but what do you do once you get there? How do you know where to go? Isn’t it easier to just stay in your own neighborhood, ignoring the other 349.
Not anymore. Now, there's a solution to that problem. Introducing Meet a New Neighborhood Food Tours by NYC Unscripted.
Meet a New Neighborhood tours are food tours by locals, for locals. Every Tuesday and Thursday evening, we'll go to a different area in the outer boroughs and spend 90 minutes exploring three food stops to illuminate the area’s history and present culture. We'll visit birria trucks and hole-in-the-wall momo makers in Jackson Heights, eat artisanal sandwiches and tortilla factory tacos in Bushwick, Egyptian style fish and Bosnian pastries in Astoria.
Neighborhoods aren't the only thing you'll meet on these experiences, though. Our tours begin with a happy hour so you can mingle with other New Yorkers wanting to learn more about their city. And if you hit it off with people during the tour, we end by walking over to a dessert stop so you can continue the local food adventures with your new friends.

Meet a New Neighborhood food tours cost $50. Your ticket gets you a 90-minute tour with three included food stops, plus opportunities at a happy hour and dessert stop to mingle with other guests (drinks, dessert, and guide gratuities are not included with the ticket price). The tours are presented by NYC Unscripted, a local tour company run by licensed expert local foodie guides and writers.
