Rett was born in Frederick, Maryland and has always found a passion for stories, whether that be fictional or non-fictional. He always found them to be fascinating, they always tie a community together and hold incredible power. He's currently studying History at American University right here in DC, his "City on the Hill."
When Rett isn't helping our guides give the best tours they can or leading tours himself, you can always find him wandering around the museums of DC or at any of the incredible theaters and music venues we have here in the Capital city.

The best sandwiches along the red line, this little sandwich shop situated just off Dupont Circle is a must-stop. (try a crunchy boy. seriously.)
If you want a better Chic-fil-a thats open on Sundays, head on over to Roaming Rooster! The chicken fingers are to die for. Come hungry! The portion sizes are top-notch.
This DC institution has been serving up half-smokes since 1958, and even fed the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The owner, Virginia, still runs the first location on U street to this day. Go take a bite of DC history!
Study spots
By far the best spot if you're not easily distracted by the beautiful art and architecture, this research library has everything you could ever need for any project/report/paper ever. And it's completely free!
Folger Shakespeare Library/The Quill and Crumb
Another amazing space if all you need is a wifi connection and an amazing latte. This full-service cafe is located on the second floor of the Folger, and above an amazing interactive collection of Shakespearean text and artifacts.
The DC Public Library system is amazing, with helpful librarians, speedy wifi, and beautiful, clean spaces, these libraries are the heart and soul of the education community. (My favorite is the MLK Library in the Penn Quarter. The Rooftop lounge is perfect in the spring/fall)
