Mozzeria
Wood-fired Neapolitan Pizza, Deaf owned and operated
Mozzeria founders Melody and Russ Stein met at Gallaudet University, the largest school for the deaf and hard of hearing in the nation. They went on to open the first Mozzeria in San Francisco in 2011, with the goal in providing customers a welcoming, memorable, and visual environment to experience Deaf culture while working to increase career placement opportunities for Deaf people. After much success they wanted to expand the concept and bringing it back to their Gallaudet community seemed like the perfect choice.
With a completely deaf and hard-of-hearing team, they are serving some of the best wood-fired pizza in town and you may learn a little sign language as well.
